Huong T. Lam of Lam Law Firm is a woman with an incredible past and stunning track record of success. Huong was born in Saigon, Vietnam. Her parents were survivors of the Vietnam War who found themselves ailing under the oppressive communist rule of their home nation. Though her father made an attempt to escape, he, like many others, was captured and sent back. In a courageous escape via a small fishing boat, Huong’s uncle made a successful journey to San Francisco, where he established himself and began to sponsor his brother's family for immigration.
Now refugees, the Lam family fled to a refugee camp in Thailand, where they were forced to sell their wedding rings to buy adequate food. After an arduous trek and a stay at another refugee camp in the Philippines, they were finally able to make it into the United States. The family came to stay in Myrtle Beach, and even at the young age of 7, Huong was eager to learn.
She took on the challenge of learning English with great aplomb and soon mastered it. By the time she was in fifth grade, she was earning all A's in her classes and spoke English at the same level as her classmates. For the rest of her educational career, Huong continued to excel. In high school, she met Craig Milburn, the man who would one day become her husband. The two dated for over ten years before marrying, and have two beautiful children, Liam and Indiana. Craig Milburn is a local dentist at Ocean Drive Dentistry in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
More than anything else, Huong Lam seeks to empower those who have been victimized or have suffered from misfortune. She strives to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves and is dedicated to helping those who were injured or beset with overwhelming debt. She cares deeply for her clients' well-being and can work tirelessly on their behalf to protect them from having to struggle with steep medical expenses from an injury case or the possibility of losing their home in a foreclosure.
